This is a pair of original LC2 Petit Modele Lounge Chairs, initially designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier and his collaborators, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. The listed price includes the pair of chairs as shown. The silhouette is widely considered to be the ultimate triumph in Bauhaus ingenuity, evident in its tubular chromed-steel construction. The aforementioned designers referred to these pieces as “household equipment”, a rather amusing way to look at furniture. These examples were produced in Italy in the 2000s by Cassina, and the chair frames are properly engraved and serialized as such.

Each chair measures 27.6 inches deep, 29.9 inches wide, and 26.4 inches high. Their seat height is 18.9 inches. There are some small scuffs and scratches on the bases, and there are notable signs of use on the leather. While beautifully patinated, there are rubs apparent on the piping, especially on the arms and some cracking on the leather also. Overall, this pair is in good original condition. Please see photos.
