1994 Skeleton Chair, Model 130064 by Michael Aram in Cast Aluminum Online Hot Sale

This is an original Skeleton Chair, designed in 1993 by Michael Aram for his ‘Flights of Fancy’ Collection. This particular example is quite special as it has a hand-etched signature, signifying it as an early production piece. The chair was handmade in cast and polished aluminum and stainless steel. Every chair undergoes a series of casting, filing, welding and oxidation techniques, and no two chairs will ever be exactly the same. The finish results from a specialized patination process that will not corrode and requires little upkeep.

This chair measures 17 inches deep, 19 inches wide, and is 32 inches high. It has a seat height of 17.5 inches. The polished aluminum finish has some small spots. Overall, this chair is in very good vintage condition with light wear. Please see photos.
